Professional Learning Opportunities Updates PD cork

CCPS teachers: Jennifer McDaniel will be offering an additional Professional Learning Session on July 31, 2018. The session is Engaging Students in Problem Solving and is appropriate for grades 4-9 math teachers. This three hour session will be offered on July 31 at 8:30 am and 12:30 pm.

Immunization Information immunization

REMINDER!

 -ALL students K-12th grade must show proof of completing, or at least receiving the first dose of, the Hepatitis A vaccine to attend school.

 -Students age 16 or older must show proof of completing, or at least receiving the first dose of, the Meningococcal ACWY vaccine to attend school.

 To meet these requirements, a current Certificate of Immunization Status must be provided to the school showing the date your child received these vaccines.

CAMP ADVENTURE camp

Camp Adventure is a free “Summer Boost Camp” for the elementary students of Clay County who have completed grades K-5 during the 2017-2018 school year.

Monitoring Weather

Clay County School officials are closely monitoring the weather forecast for the evening of January 7 and morning of January 8.  A final decision regarding the status of school will be made in the morning.  As always, the safety of students and staff will be the determining factor.

Open House for Elementary and Middle Schools scheduled for this week has been canceled and will be rescheduled.

New Immunization Requirement for 2018-2019 hep a

Beginning with the 2018-19 school year, all students are required to have a series of two Hepatitis A vaccines, spaced six months apart.  Students may enroll in school as long as the first dose of the vaccine has been administered.  Students aged 16 years or older must show proof of having two doses of Meningococcal ACWY Vaccine  (MedACWY) to attend school.  If the first dose of MenACWY was received at age 16 or older, the second dose is not required for school entry. If you have questions, contact  Amy Janutolo at 598-2168.
