Superintendent William Sexton and the Clay County School Board Members are pleased to announce that Clay County Public Schools remains a Proficient District for the 2016-17 school year. Even though the State no longer has overall scores for each District or individual schools, Clay County exceeded their scores from 2015-16.
Superintendent Sexton would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the staff for their hard work and dedication to educating the students of Clay County; to the students for working hard and striving to reach your goals; and to the parents and community partners for working together collaboratively to help maintain this improvement.
For Reading and Math combined percentage of Proficient and Distinguished showed a gain of 1.7 for all elementary schools combined, a gain of 3.5 for CCMS, and a gain of 7 for CCHS.
