A delegation of State and Federal officials accompanied actress Jennifer Garner and Save The Children President Mark Shriver as they visited Save The Children Programing at Manchester Elementary and Early Steps to School Success home visits. Afterwards, Congressman Rogers, Senator Stivers, Jennifer Garner, and Mark Shriver spoke to a large crowd of individuals from across southeastern Kentucky at EKU Manchester campus. The topics included the importance of early childhood education and the benefits of public/private partnerships. During 2017, Save The Children invested $1,865,260.35 in Clay County children. In the 2016-2017 school year, 2,198 students were served by Save The Children programs. Clay County Schools are grateful to be a part of Save The Children programming.
